ILCA Regular Member:

Join the global community of lactation professionals with a standard ILCA membership.
ILCA member includes:

Essential resources and connections to support your practice and advance the field of lactation.
Digital access to Journal of Human Lactation
10 Continuing Education Recognition Points (CERPs).

ILCA Advocate:

ILCA Advocate memberships include all the benefits of a standard membership; the difference in membership fees directly contributes to ILCA’s advocacy budget.

By joining as an ILCA Advocate, you are directly contributing to our global policy and advocacy work toward transforming health through skilled lactation care.

As an ILCA Advocate, you will receive a digital badge to add to your website and social media, to show your support for breastfeeding advocacy across the world.

ILCA ASPIRING IBCLC:

Eligible individuals include those pursuing initial IBCLC certification through one of the approved IBLCE pathways such as a recognized academic institution, an approved lactation program, employment in a healthcare setting, or a clinical internship. This status is capped at two-year maximum and excludes practicing professionals or currently certified IBCLCs.

ILCA SENIOR MEMBER:

Open to individuals who have retired and have reached a minimum age of 65.

ILCA GLOBAL PARTNER PROGRAM (GPP):

The ILCA Global Partner Program is a strategic relationship pathway designed specifically for formal, member-based organisations, such as national or multinational lactation associations and professional societies. By becoming a Global Partner, your association joins a collaborative network dedicated to advancing the lactation profession and transforming global health through skilled care.

ILCA International Group Membership Program:

The ILCA International Group Membership Program offers a streamlined way for mission-aligned organisations, including lactation centres, healthcare systems, and academic institutions, to provide discounted ILCA memberships to their staff and students.
