Inclusive Environment

ILCA is an equal opportunity volunteer organization and employer committed to principles of the broadest form of diversity. We foster an inclusive environment that supports leadership, advocacy, professional development, and research from varied perspectives. We support global access to skilled lactation care and the IBCLC profession. Therefore, speech and actions that create an unsafe space for employees, volunteers, or participants at ILCA conferences or other public forums, who are members of social groups historically or systematically targeted by systems of oppression, are not permissible. This includes, but is not limited to, engaging in oppressive language and behavior on the basis of race, sex, class, gender identity/expression, religion, sexual orientation, age, nationality, ethnicity, and ability. Should you observe such an incident, please contact an ILCA Board or Staff member.
 

Intellectual Property/STUDY DAY Taping

All authors have agreed that they are presenting their intellection property or that they have permission from the intellectual property owners to present the material. Photographing, recording, or redistributing any in-person or virtual conference presentation contents or materials, including handouts, with a digital camera, mobile phone, or any other equipment is prohibited, unethical, and illegal.

Media Disclaimer

ILCA will photograph Study Day events. By registering for the conference, you grant ILCA permission to record, photograph, use and distribute (both now and in the future) your image, name, voice, and typed comments in all forms and all media pertaining to this event.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

If you are unable to attend the conference, please submit a cancellation request. All conference refund requests must be submitted by July 1, 2024 for a full refund, less a 15% USD processing fee. Cancellation requests may be accepted on a case-by-case basis and are at the sole discretion of ILCA. Refunds will not be given to those who do not fill out a cancellation request by July 1, 2024. Please allow up to 10 business days to process your refund. Your funds will be returned via the same method you paid for your registration. Once issued, refunds may take 7 business days to be reflected on your credit card statement. If you paid by check/bank transfer/wire, please allow up to 120 days for a refund.
 

Technology Compatibility Policy:

ILCA is not responsible for events beyond our control such as internet disruptions or equipment compatibility. We will not grant refunds if any sessions have been viewed or for software incompatibility. Please ensure technical compatibility prior to registration. Information from the event platform provider, Cadmium, on optimal viewing is available here. Substitution Policy:

Delegates may select a substitute in their place in lieu of requesting a refund upon prior notification to ILCA. Substitutions will not be allowed if any sessions have been viewed. To request a substitution, please email us at info@ilca.org. Substitutions must be submitted to ILCA in writing by July 17th for the alternate participant to have access to the event on July 23rd.

Special Circumstances:

Refunds may be granted, at the sole discretion of ILCA, if a delegate is unable to attend the conference due to an extraordinary circumstance.  ILCA must be notified immediately by letter or email. ILCA retains the right to request a physician note or other information related to the decision. Any refund (minus the processing fee) will be issued as soon as possible and no later than four (4) weeks after the conference has concluded. ILCA is not responsible for events beyond our control such as internet disruptions or equipment compatibility. No refunds will be given in these situations.
